Commentary: May want to bolster his resume
The race for the 47th District senate seat is an important one for us Republicans in Carver County.
I’ve read the literature, researched the websites, and had the opportunity to view video of the recent debate between Jake Coleman and Scott Jensen.
Young Jake Coleman seems like a bright and upstanding guy with conservative Midwestern views and values.
His opponent, Dr Scott Jensen, has deep roots in the district. He has held numerous leadership positions in a wide variety of community service organizations. Jensen has extensive experience running his own business, and has served on a wide variety of boards, commissions, and professional associations.
As for the newcomer to Carver County, perhaps Mr. Coleman may want to bolster his resume by serving on a local planning commission, city council, park district or school board.
For me, Scott Jensen has the proven leadership skills and experience to represent us in St Paul.
