Spring into Farming: Celebrate spring and new life on the farm through crafts, cooking and games. Meet farm animals, explore independently, and participate in educator-led programs. Stay for an hour or the whole day. Activities are geared toward preschoolers and kindergarteners. Families and school groups welcome. Cost is $6 per person. Spring Eggstravaganza Rock Hunt: Celebrate spring! Bring your baskets and hunt for colored rocks (ages 2-8) or secret messages (ages 8-adult) hidden along the trails. Trade the rocks or decoded messages for a bag of goodies! Bring a camera for photos with a bunny character. Make bunny ears, get your face painted to look like a bunny, and decorate a wooden egg to bring home. Visit a zoo featuring a goat, bunny, chicks, turtles, snakes, toads, and a raptor. Activities are ongoing; last rock hunt leaves at 2 p.m. Cost is $5 per person who is pre-registered and $6 per person the day of the event. Children under two are admitted free. Maple Syrup Festival at French: Sap to syrup! Tap a tree, collect the sap, and watch it boil down to maple syrup. Sample the natural sweetness of the parks with pancakes.
