LEGION: Litchfield contains EVW’s bats, earns home victory
The Litchfield legion baseball team kept Eden Valley-Watkins in check Thursday, taking a 4-0 shutout victory at home.
Litch scored a run in the first inning for an early lead. It scored two more runs in the third inning and another in the fourth.
Cade Marquardt and Bennett Lecher each had three hits, while Max Tibbits had two RBIs and Carter Block scored two runs. Jack Ramthun pitched a complete game, striking out eight batters. He carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning and allowed just two hits overall.
Litchfield next plays at 7 p.m. Friday when it hosts Willmar.
