Saturday’s high school roundup/scores: Shawsheen Tech pins five opponents, now 14-0

Shawsheen Tech continues to show once again why it’s the top-ranked wrestling program in the area. The Rams won all five matches on the day, including three over top-15 teams as well as Vermont state champion Mt. Anthony.

The Rams defeated Foxboro (74-4), Lowell (55-15), Mt. Anthony (51-15), Milford (54-22) and Bridgewater-Raynham (52-27) to improve to 14-0 on the season. Jayden Perez (106 pounds), Dante Giusti (120), James Tildsley (150) and Logan Holmes (157) went undefeated on the day.

Ethan Kadish (113), Hugh McGourty (120), JD Lucas (138), Cole Riordan (144) and Tyler Grady (165) were 3-0 on the day for Hingham as they defeated Oliver Ames (60-16), Concord-Carlisle (44-34) and Somerset Berkley (60-19).

Girls basketball

Lyla Campbell had 15 points and eight rebounds as Pingree defeated Wheeler 52-28 in NEPSAC play.

CeCe Levreault scored 13 points and had seven steals as Apponequet defeated West Bridgewater 51-13 in the South Coast Conference.

Autumn Mullen scored 13 points as Dighton-Rehoboth (5-4) defeated Bishop Stang 31-22 in a nonleague contest. … Bella Abrams scored 13 points as East Bridgewater (5-2) rolled to a 47-22 win over Martha’s Vineyard.

Boys basketball

Will Levrault scored 18 points as Apponequet (2-6) defeated West Bridgewater 65-58 in the South Coast Conference.

In nonleague action, Emery Robbins dropped 20 points with four triples and Mike Dankert added 17 points as Bourne (6-1) won 64-40 over Monomoy.

Boys hockey

Seamus Cary scored a hat trick as Danvers defeated Beverly, 5-2, in Northeastern Conference play.

Thomas Goncalves scored the game’s only goal in the third period as Chelmsford edged Central Catholic 1-0 in the MVC/DCL I.

Behind 21 saves from Jason Swaim, two goals from Stoddard Healy and a goal with two assists from Joe Grasso, Concord-Carlisle downed Boston Latin 3-1 in MVC/DCL II action.

With monster performances from Drew DuRoss (four goals, two assists), Charlie Wilkie (goal, four assists) and Matt Lesniak (goal, three assists), Dracut/Tyngsboro (5-1-2) toppled Cambridge 5-1 in the MVC/DCL III.

Brandon Ward scored twice as St. John’s Prep doubled up on St. John’s Shrewsbury 4-2 in the Catholic Conference. … Christian Hinckle lit the lamp twice to lead five different multi-point scorers, powering Catholic Memorial over Malden Catholic 6-2.

Thomas Courtney’s first career goal gave Belmont (5-3) a 2-1 win over Arlington in the Middlesex League. … Sophomore James Gordon tallied both goals for Burlington (4-3-1) in a 2-0 win over Melrose, while Camden Shanahan posted a 20-save shutout.

Cam McKenna, Aiden Rotondo and Walter Davis each scored two goals for Hingham, which toppled Lincoln-Sudbury 11-2 in nonleague play for Tony Messina’s 250th win as head coach. … Down two goals, Jack Funk scored twice, Liam Bonner and Danny O’Connell tallied a goal and assist, and William Markwell made a signature save for Duxbury to rally past Falmouth, 4-3. … Senior captain Alex Jarousky potted a pair of goals, helping Attleboro (6-2-1) to a fourth straight win by defeating Stoughton/Brockton 4-0.

Junior Taighe Dwyer caught fire with a hat trick and Luke Dunham recorded two goals with an assist, leading the Cohasset/Hull attack to outlast Norwell 7-5 in South Shore League action.

Junior Jack O’Hearn notched two assists and Nick Zaccaria collected 14 saves for the shutout as Whitman-Hanson blanked Pembroke 6-0 in Patriot League play. … Strummer Beals stopped 25 shots as Silver Lake defeated North Quincy 3-1.

Sam Hubbard assisted on both of Joe MacDonell’s goals and Brody Whalen (27 saves) posted his first shutout, leading Natick over Bay State Conference foe Milton, 2-0. … Joe DiMartino and Devin Lucas each notched a goal and assist for Braintree in a 5-2 win over Framingham. … Alex Stockton’s two goals and an assist paced Weymouth past Brookline, 5-2.

Brady Leonard remained red-hot by notching a hat trick with two assists, powering Essex Tech (7-1-1) to an 8-3 Cape Ann League win over Triton.

Girls hockey

Kara Gambale had a goal and an assist, and Hailey Graybeal set the program record for career shutouts (nine) as Billerica/Chelmsford (8-1) downed Andover, 2-0, in MVC/DCL Large action. … All seven goals came from different scorers for HPNA (6-0-2) and Maddie Bush dished three assists in a 7-1 rout of Westford Academy. … Lydia Barnes posted a 17-save shutout for Methuen/Tewksbury (7-0-1), pacing a 2-0 win over Lincoln-Sudbury. Brooke Moreno (goal, assist) played a dominant defensive game and Riley Richardson scored twice, propelling Dedham over Hopkinton/Dover-Sherborn, 3-1, in Tri-Valley League action. … Michaela MacDonald dished three assists as Medfield (5-0-2) remained unbeaten with a 6-1 win over Ashland.

In the Bay State Conference, Molly Murphy netted the game-winner in overtime to lift Milton over Natick 3-2.
