Patriots’ final injury report of week brings bad news with surprise new ailment

FOXBORO — Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez was added to the injury report Friday and is now questionable to play Sunday against the Dolphins with a hip injury.

Gonzalez was limited in practice Friday with the ailment.

Gonzalez has been the Patriots’ best defensive player this season. The Patriots travel Saturday afternoon, at which point they’ll rule out any player who doesn’t travel to Miami. The Patriots need Gonzalez to help cover Dolphins wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

The only player ruled out for Week 12 is defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy (neck).
