Barmore, who made his season debut in last Sunday’s loss to the Rams, also sat out two practices last week as part of a planned ramp-up from missing the first half of the season with blood clots. He played 21 defensive snaps Sunday.
Wise has now missed four straight practices since hurting his foot during the team’s win at Chicago on Nov. 10. The veteran captain has mostly played on passing downs this season, tallying 22 tackles, five sacks and seven quarterback hits.
Offensive lineman Cole Strange, who has spent the entire season on Physically Unable to Perform list, also returned to practice. Strange suffered a torn patellar tendon last December during a loss to the Chiefs. The former first-round pick is widely seen as a bust, but injuries have caused him to miss 18 games over the past two seasons.
According to coach Jerod Mayo, Strange has been preparing to play at guard and center. The Pats have had a midseason addition, Ben Brown, starting at center for their last six games.
The Patriots will release their first injury report of the week Wednesday evening.
