WATCH: Vikings safety Cam Bynum pays tribute to Australian breakdancer Raygun
Vikings safety Cam Bynum had been promising that he had something special planned for his next interception.
He delivered on Sunday afternoon at EverBank Stadium as the Vikings escape with a 12-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
After recording an interception in the final minutes to help seal the deal, Bynum instinctively found the camera in the end zone, then busted out a routine he’s been working on for a few weeks.
A quick glance showed Bynum flailing around on the ground without much rhyme or reason. A closer look showed Bynum paying tribute to Australian breakdancer Raygun with a series of dance moves that she performed at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
“I’m a big fan,” Bynum said. “She went out there and had fun and that’s what I do on the field.”
Hilariously, Bynum had his head in his iPhone postgame, basking in the reaction to his latest viral moment on social media.
“I’ve been waiting for that,” Bynum said. “It’s been awhile since I had a celly so I was like, ‘I’ve got to go crazy with this.’”
These types of celebrations have quickly become a calling card for Bynum.
He channeled his inner Usher after an interception against the Houston Texans broke out a backflip after a fumble recovery against the Green Bay Packers, and provided a perfect recreation of the secret handshake from the “Parent Trap” after an interception against the New York Jets.
What does he have planned for an encore?
“Trust me,” Bynum said smile. “I’ve got a few more in the bank.”
