Blaine elections: Tim Sanders re-elected mayor

Tim Sanders won re-election for mayor of Blaine in the Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, election with 27 out of 27 precincts reporting.

Sanders received 67% of the vote while Patrick Hobot received 32%.

In the city council race, Ford received 56% of the vote while Lori Saroya received 44% in Ward 1. Leslie Larson got 74% to Ini Udomah’s 26% in Ward 2. And Chris Massoglia defeated Amina Baha 69% to 30% in Ward 3.

During the campaign, Sanders said he hopes to promote economic development to create more jobs and raise commercial tax to ease tax burdens on residents, according to answers from a Pioneer Press questionnaire.
