Thursday’s Pickorama

You know you’re having a good week when you can joke about the one slip-up.

We turned in our best week of the Pickorama season, posting a 9-1 record to boost our overall winning percentage to .750 on the season (45-15).

The only loss came in the Merrimack Valley Conference. We did accurately predict that Tewksbury would not give up 83 points to Billerica and they wound up allowing 29. Unfortunately for the Redmen and Pickorama, they only put 20 on the board.

A loss for Tewksbury as well as us.

On to week 7 of a fast moving high school football season.

CARVER over Randolph: Huge contest with not only South Shore League but Division 8 postseason implications on the line.

Xaverian over BC HIGH: Bounce back night for the Eagles in Dorchester.

BB&N over ST. SEBASTIAN’S: Knights inch closer to cementing a likely NEPSAC Bowl bid.

Fairhaven over BOURNE: Tall task for the undefeated Canalmen.

ST. MARK’S over Middlesex: Not many outside of these two communities envisioned we would looking at this game five weeks ago as a huge one with NEPSAC Bowl implications

FOXBORO over Canton: Warriors are starting to find their stride and they had better against a Canton team coming off a big win over North Attleboro.

East Bridgewater over SANDWICH: Something good is brewing in East Bridgewater and we are all in for it. At least for this week.

SHAWSHEEN over Greater Lowell : Fool me, shame me on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Not going against The Men of Costabile again for a long while.

BISHOP FEEHAN over Bishop Fenwick: Shamrocks take a major step toward winning the Catholic Central League title.

MARSHFIELD over Hingham: Rams slowly morphing into championship form at the right time of the season.
