2 teens critically injured in single-vehicle crash on St. Paul’s Greater East Side
Two teenagers were critically injured in a single-vehicle crash Sunday night in St. Paul.
A Jeep Cherokee driven by an 18-year-old was northbound on White Bear and Iowa avenues on the Greater East Side when it veered off the roadway, said Sgt. Mike Ernster, a St. Paul police spokesman. The Jeep struck parked vehicles and a utility pole or box, and rolled over.
Five people from the vehicle were taken to the hospital and two passengers, a 14-year-old and 18-year-old, sustained life-threatening injuries, Ernster said.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
