New England Revolution coach Caleb Porter suspended for one match by MLS

Major League Soccer announced that New England Revolution head coach Caleb Porter has been fined $20,000 and suspended one match for his comments regarding officiating following New England’s match against St. Louis City SC last Saturday.

St. Louis and New England played to a 2-2 draw, as the Revolution weren’t able to hold a late lead.

The Revolution are 12th out of 15 teams in the Eastern Conference in Porter’s first season along the sidelines.

The MLS said Porter’s comments were in violation of the league’s public criticism policy. Porter will serve his suspension on Saturday against Orlando City SC.
