Vikings receiver Jordan Addison knocked out of season opener with ankle injury
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — After pushing through an ankle injury in the lead up to Sunday’s season opener, receiver Jordan Addison seemed to reaggravte the injury midway through the game between Vikings and New York Giants. He caught a screen pass after halftime, got hit hard by a host of tacklers, and immediately went into the medical tent after reaching the sidelines.
Not long after emerging from the medical tent, Addison made his way to the locker room. He was ruled out with an ankle injury shortly after that. In total, Addison finished the game with 3 catches for 35 yards.
Though it’s unclear how severe Addison’s ankle injury is, it’s not a good sign considering he’s been working through the issue since initially going down during joint practices last month. Talking to reporters last week, Addison declared himself 100 percent heading into the game between the Vikings and Giants.
