Two killed when vehicle driven into Park Tavern

Two people were killed and three were injured when a vehicle drove into the outside patio area at a tavern in St. Louis Park on Sunday night, according to a news release from the city of St. Louis Park.

According to the release, St. Louis Park police and fire personnel responded shortly after 8 p.m. to a report of a vehicle being driven into the patio area at Park Tavern at 301 Louisiana Ave. S.

Surveillance footage shows the male driver entering the business’s parking lot and attempting to park, and then driving into the outside patio area, according the release.

The driver was arrested for criminal vehicular homicide. The State Patrol was doing accident reconstruction.
