Throwback Thursday
Boston’s long been renowned for its exemplary hospitals, and with good reason. When this Nov. 21, 1950 photo was taken,
French painter Raoul Dufy was working on a painting at the Jewish Memorial Hospital in Roxbury. Dufy, who had not been able to paint for the previous ten years because of arthritis, came to Boston for treatment with the new drugs ACTH and Cortisone. He regained the use of his hand. (AP Photo)
