Uruguay October 2023: Chevrolet (+61.2%), Fiat (+58.4%) top market up 15.6%
Chevrolet is the most popular carmaker in Uruguay in October.
The Uruguayan new light vehicle market advances 15.6% year-on-year in October to 5,436 sales, bringing the year-to-date tally up 8.5% to 46,462 units. Chevrolet (+61.2%) continues to soar and reaches 20.3% share this month vs. 17.5% year-to-date. Fiat (+58.4%) is also very dynamic year-on-year and gains two spots on September to end the month at #2. Suzuki (-25.9%) was the overall leader a year ago and pays the price now. Renault (+1.9%) only manages to edge up while Volkswagen (-5%) and Hyundai (-7.5%) slump. Nissan (+87.5%), Peugeot (+45.4%), Citroen (+43.1%) and Toyota (+17.6%) all beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10. BYD (#11) tops Chinese carmakers ahead of Chery (#12) and Jetour (#13).
