The 2027 Porsche Cayenne Electric is getting a long list of new personalization and comfort features, and some of them sound more like they belong in a luxury flagship than a performance SUV. Porsche is adding electrically operated doors, a new massage system with 4D audio, expanded interior treatments, and access to its Paint to Sample program. The changes apply across both the traditional Cayenne Electric SUV and the sleeker Cayenne Coupe Electric lineup, giving buyers even more ways to turn an already highly configurable Porsche into something genuinely personal.

The electrically operated doors may be the most attention-grabbing addition. For the first time on a Cayenne, all four doors can use servo motors to automatically complete the opening or closing process after a brief pull of the handle. They can be operated from outside the vehicle, through buttons inside the cabin, through Porsche Communication Management, or remotely with the Porsche Digital Key. The driver can even have the driver’s door close automatically simply by fastening the seat belt or pressing the brake pedal. It sounds like a small luxury until you imagine climbing into the Cayenne with your hands full or parking on an incline.

Porsche has also built safety measures into the system so those powered doors do not simply swing into whatever happens to be nearby. Sensors monitor the surrounding area and can stop the door if a person or object is detected. The system also works with the vehicle’s exit warning technology to prevent a door from opening into the path of approaching traffic. Traditional manual operation remains available, which is probably reassuring for anyone who prefers a regular door to remain, well, a regular door.

The front seats can now get considerably more elaborate as well. Porsche’s new optional massage system uses 16 air cushions and six sound actuators in each front seat, combining a traditional pneumatic massage with vibrations synchronized to the audio system. Five massage programs are available with adjustable intensity, while the 4D audio portion can also operate independently. Porsche has tied the system into three additional Wellness Mood Modes, blending seat massage, vibration, lighting, and curated soundscapes into a more immersive cabin experience.

Buyers who spend more time choosing paint than options on the drivetrain will have plenty to work with. The Cayenne Electric is joining Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s Paint to Sample program, adding another 92 shades to the existing collection. Combined with the 13 standard and optional colors already offered across Porsche’s Contrasts, Shades, Dreams, and Legends categories, customers can now choose from 105 exterior colors. That is a staggering number for one model line and further demonstrates how seriously Porsche takes customization at the upper end of the market.

The interior gets additional personalization options too. A new Extended Package Interior Style brings more leather-covered surfaces and Delgada Green decorative stitching, while buyers can add leather and Race-Tex treatments to the front and rear seat consoles and door sill trim. Porsche already offers an Interior Style Package developed jointly by Style Porsche and Exclusive Manufaktur, featuring a coordinated two-tone combination of black and green. The new options simply take that theme further for customers who want the cabin to feel as distinctive as the exterior.

The 2027 Cayenne Electric lineup is available to order now, with U.S. deliveries scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027. Porsche says pricing carries over from 2026, starting at $109,000 for the Cayenne Electric SUV and $113,800 for the Cayenne Electric Coupe. The Cayenne S Electric starts at $126,300, with the Coupe version at $131,200, while the Cayenne Turbo Electric starts at $163,000 and the Turbo Coupe at $168,000. All of those prices exclude Porsche’s $2,350 delivery, processing, and handling fee. None of these additions fundamentally change what the Cayenne Electric is, but they do make it one of the most extensively customizable and technology-packed SUVs Porsche has ever offered.
