Croatia June 2026: BYD up to record 7th place, Seal 6 Touring in Top 20

The Seal 6 Touring is the first BYD to enter the Croatian Top 20.

The Croatian new car market edges up 1.2% year-on-year in June to 8,886 units, leading to a H1 volume up 5.5% to 43,540. Skoda (-15.5%) reclaims the brands top spot off Volkswagen (+2.2%) despite a harsh YoY fall. Opel (-30.1%), Renault (-5.6%) and Toyota (+7.5%) camp on their May positions and complete the Top 5. Suzuki (+13.5%) is strong at #6 but no match for BYD up a phenomenal 5350% to #7 with 327 sales and 3.7% share, all records. Hyundai (+27%), Peugeot (+13.1%) and Ford (+9.8%) round out the Top 10, all in great shape. Below, notice Tesla (+242.4%), Jeep (+196.4%), Mazda (+97.8%) and Citroen (+40.7%).

Model-wise, the VW T-Cross (+35.5%) repeats at #1 and lodges its third win of the year after January but stays at #2 year-to-date. Just two sales below is the Skoda Octavia (-10%) which remains in pole position over H1. The new Opel Frontera (+2029.4%) confirms its fantastic success at #3, a ranking it now holds year-to-date as well. The Opel Mokka (-32.3%) rallies back up 10 spots on May to #4 but falls sharply YoY. The Renault Clio (-18.1%), also struggling, rounds out the Top 5. At #6, the Ford Puma (+12750%) has a freakishly good month which lifts it inside the YTD Top 20 at #18. Excellent performances also by the VW T-Roc (+122.2%), Suzuki S-Cross (+108.3%) and Skoda Kodiaq (+66.4%). First Top 20 finishes for the Cupra Terramar (#14) and BYD Seal 6 Touring (#20).
