As Alex Cora previously announced, Caleb Durbin will play second base for the first time in game action after largely focusing on third through the first few weeks of camp. The expectation is Marcelo Mayer will make his spring debut on Friday, also at second base, and a decision on what position the two will play should be forthcoming shortly afterwards.

Willson Contreras is back in the lineup batting third, Connor Wong is catching, and Kristian Campbell is set to start as the designated hitter.

Thursday’s game will not be televised but is being broadcast by WEEI 850 AM.
