La batalla de Graham Pauley por la 3ra base de los Marlins se frena por rigidez en el antebrazo
JUPITER, Florida, EE.UU. (AP) — La puja de Graham Pauley por ser el titular en la tercera base de los Marlins de Miami está en pausa debido a una rigidez en el antebrazo derecho.
El manager de los Marlins, Clayton McCullough, señaló que Pauley se sometió a una resonancia magnética el lunes por la mañana y que ha sido apartado de la actividad a la espera de los resultados.
Pauley batea a la zurda y la molestia está en su brazo de lanzar.
Se esperaba que Pauley compitiera con Connor Norby en la tercera base, pero no ha participado en un juego de pretemporada debido a la persistente rigidez en el antebrazo.
Pauley, de 25 años, bateó para .224 con cuatro jonrones en 161 turnos al bate como novato en 2025.
McCullough comentó a MLB.com que cierta incomodidad al inicio de los entrenamientos de primavera no es inusual para los jugadores. McCullough explicó que la rigidez en el antebrazo de Pauley “simplemente no mejoró en el transcurso de un par de días. … Va a estar apartado del béisbol hasta que tengamos un panorama más claro de lo que está pasando”.
