Devin Booker es baja con los Suns al menos una semana por distensión de cadera derecha
PHOENIX (AP) — El escolta All-Star de los Suns de Phoenix, Devin Booker, estará fuera al menos una semana debido a una distensión en la cadera derecha que sufrió en el partido del jueves contra los Spurs de San Antonio.
El equipo hizo el anuncio el sábado antes del partido contra el Magic de Orlando.
Booker promedia 24,7 puntos, 6,1 asistencias y 3,9 rebotes en 44 partidos esta temporada. El jugador de 29 años se perdió recientemente siete partidos consecutivos por un esguince en el tobillo derecho.
Los Suns también informaron que el recientemente contratado escolta Haywood Highsmith, continúa recuperándose de una cirugía en la rodilla derecha realizada la pasada pretemporada. El equipo indicó que Highsmith “progresando bien” y será evaluado en dos a tres semanas.
Los Suns han sido uno de los equipos sorpresa de la NBA esta temporada con un récord de 32-24, pero las lesiones han pasado factura y han perdido cuatro de sus últimos cinco partidos.
