Tres tenistas sudamericanos exonerados tras pesquisa por dopaje por carne contaminada
LONDRES (AP) — Tres tenistas de Sudamérica podrán reanudar sus carreras después de que la Agencia Internacional para la Integridad del Tenis (ITIA, por sus siglas en inglés) los exoneró tras una investigación por dopaje relacionada con carne contaminada.
El peruano Conner Huertas del Pino, el brasileño Mateo Barreiros Reyes y el colombiano Andrés Urrea dieron positivo por boldenona, un esteroide anabólico prohibido mientras competían en un torneo de la gira Challenger de la ATP en Bogotá, Colombia, en mayo del año pasado.
La ITIA indicó que los jugadores consumieron de manera involuntaria carne contaminada y que aportaron pruebas y documentación para respaldar su caso, incluidos recibos detallados e información sobre el origen de la carne consumida durante el torneo.
La ITIA anunció sus conclusiones el miércoles.
