Police Blotter: Co-worker stabbing in Brockton

Brockton Police arrested a man who allegedly stabbed a co-worker at Wollaston Alloys Monday night.

Jose Martins, of Brockton, was charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon (a knife) and assault and battery with serious bodily injury, according to Brockton Police.

Officers arrived at the business on Wood Road just before 11:30 p.m. When they got to the scene, they said they saw a large group of people had gathered in the parking lot.

The victim ran towards them with his head, face, and hands covered in blood, they said, and his head was wrapped in a blood-stained sweatshirt.

Police said they asked the crowd who stabbed the victim and they pointed to Martins, who was leaning up against a vehicle.

Martins was arrested, after which another person in the crowd came forward to show police a knife allegedly used in the stabbing.

The victim was treated on the scene and transported to a local hospital.
