High school roundup/scores: Burke Lombardi’s 38-point effort fuels Nantucket win

Burke Lombardi put up 38 points to power Nantucket to an 80-53 nonleague boys basketball win over Sandwich.

Dom Taylor (20 points, eight rebounds), Caden Rheaume (18 points) and Aidan Dookhran (12 points, 10 rebounds) finished in double figures for Somerset Berkley (12-6) in a 70-54 South Coast Conference victory over Seekonk.

In a Patriot League matchup, Jaethen Pinet (16 points) hit a last second buzzer beater as Quincy beat Pembroke 49-46.

Girls basketball

Ruby Steadman and Chloe Washington scored 11 points each as Nantucket defeated Nauset 40-25 in the Cape and Islands League.

Maliah Pierre tallied 16 points, and Leah Daley contributed 11 points as Whitman-Hanson (18-1)  defeated Hingham 55-43 in a Patriot League matchup. … Hailey Flynn (12 points) buried a buzzer-beating shot to lift Duxbury (14-6) to a 48-46 overtime win over Silver Lake. Ella Fitzpatrick (13 points) and Regan Donovan (11 points) broke into double figures as well for the Dragons.

Hannah Sareault scored 17 points, while Paige Morrison had eight points as Sandwich (16-2) beat St. John Paul II 36-33 in a nonleague contest.

Lily Phillips notched 13 points and seven assists, while Cece Gilbert registered 10 points and 11 rebounds as Central Catholic beat Chelmsford 44-40 in the Merrimack Valley Conference. … Reagan Maniscalco poured in 21 points, and Vanessa Iandoli finished with 10 points as Tewksbury defeated Methuen, 46-38.

In a Hockomock League contest, Adrianna Porazzo led all scorers with 16 points for a 46-28 Foxboro win over North Attleboro.
