NUEVA YORK (AP) — Los bomberos combatían en la madrugada del sábado un incendio en los dos últimos pisos de un edificio de apartamentos de gran altura en la Ciudad de Nueva York, según las autoridades.
El fuego registrado en el Bronx comenzó poco después de la medianoche y se extendió a varios apartamentos en el inmueble de 17 plantas, explicó el Departamento de Bomberos de la Ciudad de Nueva York (FDNY, en un comunicado) en un comunicado.
Por el momento se desconocía qué causó el incendio.
Más de 200 bomberos y efectivos de los servicios de emergencia trabajaban en el lugar del incendio, agregó el FDNY.
Las autoridades no informaron sobre posibles heridos.
En un video publicado en internet se podría ver cómo las llamas envolvían parte de los pisos superiores del edificio.
