Mattapan shooting victim identified as Brockton man
Boston Police have identified a Brockton man as the victim of a fatal shooting in Mattapan earlier this week.
Alex DeAndrade, 37, died after being shot multiple times in the early hours of Monday morning on Stow Road.
Officers arrived on the scene around 12:12 a.m. where they found a wounded DeAndrade. Boston EMS transported him to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
BPD’s homicide unit is actively investigating the shooting and asking anyone with information to contact that at (617) 343-4470. Anonymous tips can be submitted through the department’s CrimeStoppers Program.

The homicide marks the second in the city so far this year. Art collector and philanthropist John Axelrod was struck and killed by a car on Saturday. The alleged perpetrator William Haney was arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for murder Monday and pleaded not guilty.
