High school roundup/scores: Sarah Michel notches triple-double for Blue Hills

Sophomore Sarah Michel registered a triple-double (31 points, 12 rebounds, 10 blocks) to lead Blue Hills (2-0) to a 42-35 Mayflower Athletic Conference girls basketball win over Upper Cape.

Boys basketball

Rex Satter (17 points, six steals), Tanner Manning (16 points) and Cal Schofield (12 points) finished in double figures for Ipswich (1-1) during an 81-33 rout of Cape Ann League foe Rockport.

Boys hockey

Thomas Quinn scored in a second straight game and Rocco Lampasona added his first of the year, lifting Franklin (1-1) to a 2-1 nonleague win over Newburyport for former assistant Jake Brightbill’s first victory as head coach.

A four-goal deficit in the final six minutes was no issue for Foxboro (1-1), as Nikko Chiaradonna erupted for five of his six goals to rally past Stoughton/Brockton, 9-6. Jake McSweeney posted a hat trick in the loss.

Freshman Max Sergeyev’s go-ahead goal was his first varsity goal, pairing with two assists from Christos Rogaris and a 24-save shutout from Will Goldstein to lead Dover-Sherborn/Weston (1-2) over Norton, 3-0, in Tri-Valley League Small play.
