Alexander-Arnold sufre lesión muscular días antes de que el Real Madrid recibe al Manchester City
MADRID (AP) — Trent Alexander-Arnold fue diagnosticado con una lesión muscular en la pierna izquierda días antes de que el Real Madrid enfrente al Manchester City en la Liga de Campeones.
El lateral derecho inglés se lastimó un músculo en el recto anterior del cuádriceps de la pierna izquierda, informó el club. Tuvo que salir al inicio del segundo tiempo el miércoles del partido que el Madrid ganó de visitante 3-0 ante el Athletic de Bilbao
El Liverpool estuvo fuera de acción durante unas seis semanas esta temporada debido a una lesión diferente en la pierna izquierda. Alexander-Arnold había sido titular en cuatro partidos consecutivos para el equipo de Xabi Alonso antes de este último contratiempo.
El club no indicó el jueves cuánto tiempo de baja tendrá Alexander-Arnold.
Los merengues reciben al Celta de Vigo en La Liga de España el domingo y da la bienvenida al City tres días después en la Liga de Campeones.
El otro lateral derecho del Madrid, Dani Carvajal, también está descartado tras requerir una cirugía artroscópica en la rodilla derecha.
