Patriots will officially be without Rhamondre Stevenson vs. Falcons

FOXBORO — Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson has been ruled out for Sunday’s matchup with the Falcons.

Stevenson did not practice this week due to a toe injury. Head coach Mike Vrabel wouldn’t specify when Stevenson suffered his toe injury or how long the veteran running back would be out.

Stevenson’s toe injury was not announced during the Patriots’ Week 8 win over the Browns. It first popped up on the injury report Wednesday.

Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson has yet to practice this week due to injury

Rookie TreVeyon Henderson and Terrell Jennings are next in line for snaps. The Patriots will decide which practice squad running back, between D’Ernest Johnson, Jonathan Ward and Rushawn Baker, to elevate on Saturday.

“‘Mondre has been such a great vet, just leading by example,” Henderson said Friday. “He’s a great leader in his running back room, and he has done a good job of just helping me and Terrell just continue to learn and grow. We’re thankful for ‘Mondre, and we’re definitely going to try to give it everything we got in honor of ‘Mondre. We know he’d love to be out on the field.”

The Patriots dont have any other players listed with injury designations.

Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr., tight end Kyle Pitts and wide receiver Drake London are all expected to play Sunday. They avoided injury designations.
