Patriots-Bills inactives: Pats get good news on defensive standout
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Patriots defensive tackle Milton Williams will be active Sunday despite missing practice this week with a knee injury.
Williams is available after he was a non-participant in Thursday’s session and limited Friday. He’s been one of the Patriots’ best defensive players after signing a four-year, $104 million contract in free agency this offseason.
Patriots undrafted rookie wide receiver Efton Chism remained on the inactive list Sunday.
Chism, a training camp and preseason standout, has yet to make his NFL debut. Chism is currently buried on the depth chart behind Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins, DeMario Douglas and Kyle Williams.

Some notes:
Jahlani Tavai will make his season debut. He began the year on injured reserve and was activated Saturday. He could rotate in at linebacker for Christian Elliss, Jack Gibbens and Marte Mapu.
Expect Chaisson’s role to be taken over by Keion White and Anfernee Jennings. Undrafted rookie Elijah Ponder is also active for the first time since Week 2.
DeVito can only enter the game if Drake Maye and Joshua Dobbs both suffer injuries.
Gregory has yet to make his NFL debut. Williams, Christian Barmore, Joshua Farmer and Cory Durden are available at defensive tackle.
Rookie left guard Jared Wilson is expected to start at left guard next to left tackle Will Campbell, center Garrett Bradbury, right guard Mike Onwenu and right tackle Morgan Moses. Ben Brown, Vederian Lowe and Marcus Bryant will serve as depth.
Here are the Bills’ inactives: DT Ed Oliver (ankle), DT T.J. Sanders (knee), LB Dorian Williams (knee), WR Elijah Moore, Returner Brandon Codrington, DB Jordan Hancock and OL Chase Lundt.
