Red Sox lineup: Roman Anthony returns after missing two games
With a new contract extension in hand, Roman Anthony is set to return to the Red Sox lineup on Wednesday.
The Red Sox rookie is back after missing the last two games with mid back tightness and is scheduled to lead off for the team’s series finale. He’ll start in left field and bat in front of Alex Bregman, Trevor Story and Jarren Duran, and Masataka Yoshida is also back in the lineup serving as the designated hitter.

Right-hander Dustin May, acquired at last Thursday’s trade deadline from the Los Angeles Dodgers, will make his team debut. He’ll face off against former Red Sox starter Michael Wacha (5-9, 3.38).
The Red Sox come into Wednesday riding a seven-game win streak and currently sit three games behind the Toronto Blue Jays in the AL East standings. Boston holds a 2.5-game lead for the top spot in the AL Wild Card standings, ahead of the Seattle Mariners.
