Sounds of Revolution: Army Band fife and drum ensemble visits USS Constitution
An ensemble of Army soldiers fired up the fife and drums on board the USS Constitution on Monday to provide a patriotic flair to the summer heat.
The USS Constitution welcomed the 8-member group Revolution for a free summer concert.
The musicians are members of the 215th US Army Band.
Monday’s performance follows an Independence Day outing for the world’s oldest commissioned warship. The USS Constitution fired a 21-Gun salute off Fort Independence on Castle Island and a 17-gun salute off the US Coast Guard base in Boston on Friday, while underway to celebrate the nation’s founding.
