Red Sox players meet President Trump on White House tour
Typically sports teams only meet the president after they’ve won a championship, but several members of the Red Sox found themselves in the Oval Office on Thursday just the same.
According to a video posted by Margo Martin, a special assistant to the president and communications advisor, members of the Red Sox were invited into the Oval Office to meet President Donald J. Trump.
The video shows Justin Wilson, Abraham Toro, Romy Gonzalez, Connor Wong, Greg Weissert, Wilyer Abreu, Garrett Whitlock, Brennan Bernardino and Rob Refsnyder shaking the president’s hand. Trevor Story appears in the video as well.

Asked for comment about the visit, a Red Sox spokesperson said the team toured the White House on Thursday as part of their family road trip to Washington, D.C.
The Red Sox are in Washington this weekend for a three-game series against the Washington Nationals, which begins on Friday. First pitch for Friday’s opener is scheduled for 11 a.m.
