BASEBALL

In the Patriot League, Matty Nardone drove in four runs as Plymouth North (11-1) rallied from a 5-0 deficit to take down North Quincy 7-5.

Ty Southall struck out eight while going the distance and allowing just one hit as Georgetown (4-6) won 4-1 over Cape Ann League opponent Rockport 4-1.

BOYS LACROSSE

Luke Allen tallied four goals as BC High (9-1) defeated Catholic Conference opponent St. John’s of Shrewsbury, 17-6. … Josh Barton, Luke Kelly, Ryan McCarthy and Cam McCarthy each scored twice as St. John’s Prep edged Catholic Memorial, 9-8.

In the Northeastern Conference, Colten Russo (five goals, two assists) and Colin Driscoll (five goals, one assist) led the way as Masconomet defeated Danvers 19-8.

Jayson Kelleher led with five goals and an assist as Bridgewater-Raynham (5-4) cruised over nonleague opponent Whitman-Hanson 13-4. … Sean Rockwood collected seven goals and two assists as Stoughton recorded its first shutout in program history over Bay Path 14-0.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Taylor Corr finished with eight goals as Silver Lake took down North Quincy 13-10 in Patriot League play. … Shannon Balfe scored in overtime to give Whitman-Hanson a 9-8 win over Quincy.

Sophia Fruci scored five goals and chipped in with an assist as Walpole doubled up on Brookline 20-10 in the Bay State Conference.

Avery Laundry tallied five goals and three assists while Cecelia Tripp added another four goals to lead Swampscott in a 18-5 victory over Winthrop in a Northeastern Conference matchup. … Maddie Forbes scored six goals and added two assists in Marblehead’s 14-13 win over Beverly.

In the Tri-Valley League, Kendall Herrick, Izzy Kittredge and Maeve Kelly each scored four times as Medfield toppled Holliston, 19-5. … Ella Taylor and Olivia Melanson each scored four goals as Medway defeated Dedham, 11-3.

Emily Fleming tallied eight goals as Archbishop Williams defeated Latin Academy 14-5 in a nonleague contest. … Julia Kipperman scored seven goals as Nauset cruised to a 17-6 victory over Falmouth Academy.

SOFTBALL

In the South Shore League, Elsie Testa struck out 12 as Abington (9-2) blanked Norwell 3-0. … Taryn Clancy threw a one-hitter with 14 strikeouts as Middleboro took down Cohasset 12-0.

Camryn Jayde Collier struck out 11 batters as Latin Academy shut out East Boston, 16-0, in a Boston City League game. … Maggie Schlossberg (three hits, 4 RBI) struck out 13 in a one-hitter while also Bella Abrams notched five hits and four runs as East Bridgewater defeated Pembroke 15-2.

In the ISL, Jackie Giordano struck out 14 and allowed one hit as Brooks edged BB&N, 1-0.  Sophia Florencio was 3-for-3 and scored the game’s only run on a single by Kyleigh Matola in the sixth.

Nevaeh Eth was 3-for-3 with a triple, three RBI and four runs scored as Lynn Classical defeated O’Bryant 17-5 in a nonleague tilt.

BOYS SOCCER

Billy Ryan stepped down as head coach at BC High after a stellar 32-year career. A member of both the Eastern Massachusetts Soccer Coaches Association and BC High Athletic Hall of Fame. Ryan won over 300 games, 11 Catholic Conference championships, an Eastern Massachusetts and Division 1 state title.

HOCKEY

The third annual A Shot For Life Classic will be held at Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton this Sunday from 2-7 p.m. There will be a girls game followed by a boys game in that time frame.

The ASFL Classic is the hockey sibling to similar ASFL initiatives in basketball, baseball, soccer,

softball, lacrosse, football, and field hockey. These initiatives are a hybrid between a fundraiser and a competitive athletic event.
