Thursday’s high school roundup/scores: Collin Meserve fans 11 in East Bridgewater win

In nonleague baseball action, Collin Meserve went the distance while striking out 11 and allowing three hits as East Bridgewater topped Dennis-Yarmouth 4-0.

Paul Oliveira struck out 11 while pitching a shutout as Catholic Memorial (3-5) blanked Central Catholic, 5-0. … Alex Crook went 3-for-4 with three RBI as Somerset Berkley defeated Middleboro, 8-1. … Dyllon Pratt smashed a grand slam while Will Trach struck out five and hit a solo home run as Shawsheen blanked Concord-Carlisle, 11-0.

In a Patriot League matchup, Danny Kenney and Henry Novick both hit two-run home runs as Plymouth North defeated Duxbury, 8-3.

Peter Brooks finished with four hits for an RBI, Jake Hillard added a pair of hits with three RBI and Sean Canavan recorded a three run triple to lead Braintree to a 13-1 victory over Bay State foe Needham.

Boys lacrosse

In a nonleague game, Cole Rodgers recorded five goals to break the school’s all-time goal record to lead Sandwich past Hanover, 12-9.

Girls lacrosse

In a nonleague game, Hannah Petrillo finished with three goals and an assist as Bourne defeated Upper Cape, 7-3.

In Cape Ann League action, Allie Wile (seven goals, one assist) and Lucy Winthrop (four goals) paced Ipswich to a 17-6 victory over North Reading.

Caitlyn Naughton scored five times while Jenna Wong and Riley Halloran each had four tallies as Walpole (7-0) took down Bay State Conference opponent Weymouth 21-8.

Softball

In a Patriot League matchup, Elizabeth McNaught went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs while Emilia Cooke added a home run and three walks to lead Whitman-Hanson to an 18-5 win over Hingham. … Maggie Fabry laced a two-out, two-RBI single and Emerson Boyd followed with a three-run triple to push Plymouth North to a 14-8 victory over Duxbury.

In Middlesex League action, Jackie Sullivan (three hits, two RBI), Bella Burns (two hits, two RBI), and Chloe Seto (two hits, two RBI) paced Wakefield to a 7-3 victory over Burlington.

Brenna Howley went 4-for-5 with three runs scored, an RBI and a double while Elsie Testa struck out 11 over six, one-hit innings as Abington (5-0) defeated Braintree 12-1 in nonleague play.
