Trump says ‘termination’ of Fed’s Powell can’t ‘come fast enough’
A peeved President Donald Trump posted today Fed Chairman Jerome Powell’s “termination” can’t come “fast enough” after the European Central Bank cut interest rates.
The Wall Street Journal reported Powell could even be dismissed by Trump.
“Powell’s termination cannot come fast enough!” Trump wrote this morning on his Truth Social feed, adding that Powell “is always TOO LATE AND WRONG.”
Trump continued to goad Powell as “Too Late” as tariff trade talks heat up in DC. The economy continues to drive the news and the markets that are set to open.
