The team fell from 29th a year ago, dragged down by failing marks for their weight room and team travel.

Ownership ranked 29th and received a D grade, with players feeling owner Robert Kraft is only “somewhat committed” to building a competitive team and only “slightly contributes” to a positive team culture. Kraft ranked 30th in both of those areas.

The NFLPA report card did note the Patriots have broken ground on a new facility adjacent to Gillette Stadium worth an announced $50 million that is scheduled to open in 2026. The facility will include a new weight room, training room, locker room and offices.

However, the facility will not fix issues regarding the team plane. According to the report, the Patriots’ team plane does not have Wi-Fi and there are still seats with ashtrays in the armrests.  Two players were quoted saying: “our plane is the worst thing — size, space, safety,” and “it is not conducive to preparedness for athletic performance.”
