Tuesday’s high school roundup/scores: Buzzer-beating shot lifts Lincoln-Sudbury to thrilling win

Nolan Martindale hit a foul-line jumper at the buzzer to give Lincoln-Sudbury a 59-58 boys basketball win over Lynnfield in the finals of the Spartan Classic.

In the consolation bracket, Asante Aurora poured in 30 points as Dartmouth (9-10) won 69-55 over Woburn.

Burke Lombardi (22 points), Ethan Jarrett (21 points), and Vallon Jeanty (20 points), each tallied double digits to lead Nantucket to a 75-73 win over Dennis-Yarmouth in a Cape and Islands matchup.

In nonleague  action, Jimmy Festa netted a career-high 23 points with six rebounds as Peabody (10-10) toppled Somerville 67-49. … Jack Zambardino led the way with 23 points as Arlington (17-4) defeated Pembroke, 67-39. … Liam MacPhee and Wes Bunnell each scored 23 points for Stoneham (8-12) as part of a 63-61 win over Amesbury. … Danny Luna scored 22 points as Greater Lowell (11-10) defeated Tyngsboro 60-52.

In the Nick Gaspar Invitational Championship, Manny Duran recorded 15 points and six rebounds to lead Xaverian to a 40-38 victory over Franklin.

In the Weymouth Family Invitational Championship, Mike Leese notched 16 points while Omer Rabbi added 13, as Newton South defeated Marshfield 71-67.

Jack Finlaw dropped 22 points to win Crosby Couto Tournament MVP as Somerset Berkley cruised over King Philip 77-51 in the championship contest.

Girls basketball

In the Spartan Classic, Kate Suneson was named MVP with 15 points and 11 boards as Apponequet defeated Andover 45-36. … Sarah Poland had 17 points as Lincoln-Sudbury defeated Malden Catholic 48-36. … Jess LaFlamme scored 19 points as Fontbonne handled Cohasset, 46-29. … Olivia Baytarian and Maura Quirk each netted 12 points for Acton-Boxboro in a 51-32 win over Dracut.

Rowan Murphy notched 15 points as Greater Lowell (14-4) took down Northeast 60-25 in the Skaff Tournament semifinals.

Sophomore May Isenberg dialed up 19 points and senior Teagan Morrissey added 17 points to power Concord-Carlisle (9-10) over Whittier, 54-48, in nonleague action. … Longtime coach Brian Harris earned his 500th career win as Prospect Hill (19-2) rolled to a 73-36 win over Lawrence.

Boys hockey

Ryan Elrick scored twice and Canton (19-1-1) extended its unbeaten streak to 20 games with a 3-0 win over Boston Latin in nonleague action. … Jason Swaim secured a 23-save shutout and Joe Grasso scored the lone goal, leading Concord-Carlisle (14-5-1) over Dartmouth, 1-0, to close the regular season on a four-game win streak. … Charlie Wilkie and Drew DuRoss scored in a third-period rally to force overtime, and Beau Blakely capped it off there as Dracut/Tyngsboro (16-2-2) outlasted Monty Tech/Fitchburg, 4-3. … Bubba Timmons’ two goals led Shawsheen Tech in a 6-1 win over Methuen. … Joe Kajunski netted a hat trick as Needham topped Hopkinton 7-3.

Adam Bauer’s hat trick and Leo Packard’s two goals with two assists anchored Belmont’s attack to beat Central Catholic, 5-1, in the Cardinal Classic.

Girls hockey

Lauren Perry and Hannah D’Angelo each scored twice as Pembroke tripled up Patriot League opponent Quincy/North Quincy 6-2.

In nonleague play, Lucy Irwin had two tallies with an assist as Central Catholic (15-5) doubled up Latin Academy 4-2.

Eighth-graders Chloe Rabazzi and Sofia Cleary each potted two goals, freshman Samantha Cicolini added two more and Burlington (13-6) defended well, securing its seventh straight win by beating Falmouth 7-1 in the Lobster Pot championship.

Shea Nolan’s hat trick led six different scorers, pacing Archbishop Williams to an 8-2 win over Needham in the Hingham Showcase.
