New video shows Delta plane crash landing at Toronto airport
New video shows a Delta Air Lines jet from Minneapolis starting on fire and flipping over while landing at Toronto’s Pearson Airport.
All 80 people on board survived the Monday crash, but 18 passengers were taken to the hospital, according to authorities.
The plane, a Mitsubishi CRJ-900LR, originated at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
When the plane landed at about 2:15 p.m., there was snow being blown by winds gusting up to 40 mph, but it’s not yet clear why the plane landed the way it did. According to audio recordings, the control tower warned the pilots of a possible air flow “bump” on the approach to the runway.
