St. Paul police apprehend man accused of shooting up western Wisconsin bar

Police have arrested a St. Paul man suspected of shooting up a western Wisconsin bar after a January altercation with patrons.

St. Paul police officers worked with officers from the Village of Hammond to apprehend the suspect in the Jan. 30 incident.

Authorities say that early on that day, the man was in an altercation with other customers at Ras’s on Main, a Hammond bar. The man then left the bar and came back with a firearm and shot multiple rounds through the front window.

One person was struck and suffered a non-life-threatening injury.

The man fled the scene in the St. Croix County community and was not found until Thursday in St. Paul. He was taken into custody in connection with active felony arrest warrants.

He remains in the Ramsey County jail awaiting extradition to Wisconsin.
