Vietnam January 2025: Ford Ranger and Mazda CX-5 best-sellers

The Ford Ranger is the most popular vehicle in Vietnam in January.

According to local association VAMA, the Vietnamese new vehicle market is off -1.8% year-on-year in January to 18,893 units. Adding Hyundai who reports separately, sales are down -3.7% to 21,967. Toyota (+51.5%) surges ahead to hold onto the top spot with 15.2% share, distancing a struck Hyundai (-13.99%). Thaco-Kia (-8.5%) and Ford (-8.2%) also struggle with Mazda (+3%) edging up to round out the Top 5. Over in the models charts, the Ford Ranger (-2.4%) takes the lead for the first time since last June, distancing the Mazda CX-5 (+23.9%) in outstanding shape. #1 over the Full Year 2023 and 2024, the Mitsubishi Xpander (-37.1%) freefalls to #3 this month. The Ford Territory (+79.5%), Toyota Yaris Cross (+93.1%) and Honda City (+17.8%) all post sensational result while the new Mitsubishi Xforce repeats at #7.
