In a Commonwealth Athletic Conference boys basketball game, Dalton Kinnon scored 38 points to lead Mystic Valley (16-2) to a 99-62 victory over Notre Dame Academy (Tyngsboro), securing a school-record for 10 wins in a row.
Alex Levy scored 18 points as Hingham toppled Duxbury 59-63. … Liam Sullivan finished with 14 points as Silver Lake took down Plymouth North 53-48.
In the Dual County League, Aaron Joncas netted 18 points on six triples as Concord-Carlisle won 68-42 over Bedford.
Bryan Gyorda poured in a program-record 10 triples for 32 points as North Andover (10-7) rolled over Charlestown 72-41 in nonleague play. … Sam Thompson scored 12 points as Marblehead (10-7) defeated Malden, 53-46. … Connor Chiarello tallied 22 points as Swampscott (11-7) sailed to a 52-43 win over Lynn Classical.
Girls basketball
In a Middlesex League contest, Mckenna Morrison (19 points), Shannon McCarthy (16 points), and Brooke Tuzzolo (16 points and career high) led Woburn to a 71-42 win over Reading.
Sophie Derochea poured in a career-high 29 points as Pembroke (14-5) won 58-53 over Hanover in Patriot League play.
In nonleague action, Reese Jefferson had 13 points and Julia Mello added 12 more as Dighton-Rehoboth defeated Nipmuc 36-27. … Freshman Sarah Michel dropped a career-high 32 points with 12 rebounds as Blue Hills (19-1) topped Wareham 55-45. … Deb Kisekka tallied 15 points to lead tournament-bound Lowell (13-7) to a 60-30 nonleague win at Everett in the Red Raiders’ regular season finale. … On Senior Night, Annabelle Caouette pocketed 14 points to pace Littleton to its 13th victory, a 48-28 win over Ayer-Shirley. … Sasha Makogonov led the way with 13 points as Hamilton-Wenham (14-6) bested Milton 52-37. … Devon Burke poured in 34 points as Newton North won 63-51 over Peabody.
Girls hockey
In the MVC/DCL, Kendall LaRiviere had a hat trick with an assist while Quinn Bennett collected two tallies and two assists as HPNA dominated Andover 5-1.
Boys cross country
Tam Gavenas of Phillips Andover Academy was named the 2024-25 Gatorade Massachusetts Boys Cross Country Player of the Year. Gavenas is the first Gatorade Massachusetts Boys Cross Country Player of the Year to be chosen from Phillips Academy.
The 5-foot-7, 120-pound senior won the national Foot Locker Cross Country Championship this past season with a time of 15:23.90, becoming the state’s first winner at the event since 1997 and breaking the tape four seconds ahead of his next closest competitor.
The Harvard-bound Gavenas also won the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Championship with a time of 15:01, leading the Big Blue to second place as a team. The state’s returning Gatorade Boys Cross Country Player of the Year, he set four course records in 2024 and was also named the COROS XC Athlete of the Year.
