Alfred A. Hesse

Alfred “Chub” Hesse, 72, of Chaska, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 in Waconia.

Memorial Mass will be Saturday, Jan. 31, at noon at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 218 West Second Street, Chaska. Friends may gather at church one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Guardian Angels Catholic Cemetery, Chaska.

Alfred was born Oct. 30, 1936 in Dahlgren Township to Frank and Margaret (Hammers) Hesse. He was one of three children. Alfred attended school at Guardian Angels Catholic School and graduated from there in 1954. On Jan. 3, 1959, Alfred married Juane Salden at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. They had two sons.

Alfred was a lifelong member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Chaska. He farmed most of his life as a hobby and worked in heavy construction full time. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and especially enjoyed drinking coffee every day with his friends.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret Hesse; sister, Bernice Tesch; daughter-in-law, Kathy Hesse.

Survivors include his wife Juane; sons, Dan Hesse of Cologne, Randy Hesse and his wife Lynda of Chaska; sister, Jane LaPage.

Funeral arrangements were with the Bertas Funeral Home of Chaska, 952-448-2137.
