LETTER: Lemke is proven leader
COUNTY ELECTION
In a time when stability in our local politics is a seemingly distant memory, LuAnne Lemke has demonstrated the intelligence, logical thought and decision making required to move us forward in the right direction and complete our Scott County Board of Commissioners representing District 1.
While other candidates may tout “experience in government,” LuAnne has the proven leadership and real experience that we need as an elected official; not self-proclaimed and unproven.
I have had the true opportunity to work with LuAnne, who is the 2012 chairwoman of the Scott County Association for Leadership and Efficiency (SCALE), as well as on the SCALE executive board. She has demonstrated true skills as a leader in her thought process, communications and the ability to apply reason to emotional discussions. LuAnne is very effective at collaborating and bringing consensus to the group.
LuAnne has a passion for growing our business base and bringing jobs to our county. She works on several countywide teams that focus on economic growth and maximizing the value of taxpayers’ money through collaboration of services in areas of public safety, transportation, community development, parks and recreation, and more. I have seen firsthand her mark as a leader and the respect that she is afforded by her peers.
LuAnne Lemke is the candidate that we are fortunate to have the choice to vote for on Tuesday, Aug. 14 for Scott County commissioner, District 1.
Joseph Thill
