Police calls: April 30-May 5
The Jordan Police Department responded to the following calls:
April 30
PROPERTY DAMAGE: Police received a report of damage to property on Sunset Drive at 4:23 p.m. An officer received information for a report and investigation.
May 1
ACCIDENT: Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash on Highway 169 at Second Street. A man was transported to St. Francis Regional Medical Center by Ridgeview Ambulance Service. Minnesota State Patrol filed a report on the accident.
May 2
OBSCENITY: Police received a complaint of a vulgar trailer hitch accessory on a vehicle in Valley Green Park at 11:17 a.m. The owner was advised to remove the accessory.
May 3
DRUGS: Officers were called to the Holiday Stationstore on Triangle Lane for report of a suspicious person at 10:27 a.m. The officers found the man had an active arrest warrant and also possessed a small amount of a controlled substance. Officers arrested the man and transported him to the Scott County Jail.
DRUGS: Police received a report of a man in possession of an electronic cigarette at Jordan High School at 11:51 a.m. The electronic cigarette tested positive for marijuana. A report was completed to be reviewed for charges.
MEDICAL: Officers were dispatched to a medical call at a residence on Fourth Street West at 9:45 p.m. A man was transported to St. Francis Regional Medical Center by Ridgeview Ambulance Service.
SUSPICIOUS: Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle outside a residence in Valley Green Park at 10:18 p.m. The caller reported a vehicle parked in his driveway did not belong to him. Officers contacted the owner and the vehicle was removed.
May 4
DRUGS: Police issued citations to a man for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia at 2:35 a.m.
MEDICAL: Officers were dispatched to a residence on Rustle Road at 6:24 p.m. on a report of an intoxicated woman who was unable to get up off the floor. Officers assisted the woman until medics transported her to St. Francis Medical Center for evaluation of a possible head injury.
JUVENILE: Officers responded to the 900 block of Huntington Way at 9:03 p.m. for a report of several juveniles fighting. Police determined three boys were involved in simulated fighting.
ACCIDENT: An officer was approached by a woman who reported a hit-and-run near the Cinco de Mayo event at 9:08 p.m. The woman said her vehicle has a small scratch on the driver’s side door. The person who hit the vehicle left a note saying “Sorry I hit your vehicle, but you were in my way.”
DISTURBANCE: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 200 block of Triangle Lane for an employee causing a disturbance at 9:55 p.m. The employee left the premises without incident.
DWI: Officers responded to a welfare check on a child at a residence in Valley Green Park at 10:05 p.m. Officers determined the child was unharmed, however, a man was arrested for probable cause DWI. The man later refused an evidentiary test and was charged with third-degree test refusal and transported to the Scott County Jail.
ASSAULT: Officers responded to a domestic assault in progress in a parking lot on East First Street at 10:41 p.m. A man was arrested for domestic assault and transported to the Scott County Jail.
May 5
JUVENILE: Officers were contacted by the mother of a juvenile runaway out of Minneapolis who was in Jordan with friends at 5:46 p.m. Police located the boy at the skate park and a family member made contact with him. The boy agreed to return home without incident. The parents of the other two boys were contacted and advised of the situation. Arrangements were made to return the other boys to their homes.
