City of Eden Prairie
– The City Council will hold a 5:30 p.m. workshop and a 7 p.m. meeting Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Council Chambers.
– The Conservation Commission meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Prairie Room.
– The Heritage Preservation Commission meets at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in the Prairie Room.
– The Housing Task Force meets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the Prairie Room.

Eden Prairie School Board
– The Eden Prairie School Board will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, for its regular business meeting and at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4, for its board workshop. Meetings are held at the Administrative Services Center, 8100 School Road, unless otherwise indicated. The most recent board meeting is also replayed on local Public Access Channel 14 at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and 8 a.m. on Mondays.
Free Homebuyers Class
– The Carver County CDA provides “Homestretch” Classes for homebuyers or those interested in learning more about the buying process. Classes will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, and 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. This eight-hour class is required for most down-payment assistance programs and other government loan programs. Provided by certified instructors and industry experts. Learn the ABCs of the largest purchase you will probably make in your lifetime. This class is being offered free of charge. To register, please call 952-556-2801.

Civil Air Patrol
– The U.S. Air Force Auxiliary Viking Squadron offers a cadet aerospace education program for youth ages 12 to 21 years. Senior officer members are age 21 and older. Support Groups
Co-dependents Anonymous (CoDA)
– A weekly Codependents Anonymous (CoDA) group meets from 7-8 p.m. on Thursdays at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 16515 Luther Way, Eden Prairie. CoDA is a program of recovery from co-dependence and is a welcoming fellowship of men and women whose common purpose is to develop healthy relationships. Eden Prairie Mental Health Support Group for Families
– NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) sponsors free support groups for families and friends of individuals living with a mental illness. Led by trained facilitators who also have a family member with mental illness, the support groups help families develop better coping skills and find strength through sharing their experiences. A family support group meets from 7-8:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 13600 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie. TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly)
