St. Paul firefighters use rope rescue for teen who slipped 30 feet down bluff
Firefighters rescued a teen who slipped about 30 feet down a bluff on St. Paul’s West Side over the weekend.
The St. Paul Fire Department transported her to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said Deputy Fire Chief Jamie Smith.
The department was called for a technical rescue at Prospect Terrace Park off Prospect Boulevard just before 8 p.m. Saturday. A teen slipped off the edge and slid down, Smith said.
Firefighters used ropes to lower rescuers to the teen, and then to an ambulance at the bottom of the bluffs.
