Massive police presence dispatched to Norwell
The Herald is following a huge police operation in Norwell.
No details of the response have been provided by the Norwell Police Department, but a Herald photographer reports that some 100 police have been dispatched to the 100-block of Longwater Drive in Norwell.
The area is home to an industrial park. Businesses in the area include a business technology firm, an early childhood education center, career clothing, a hospice care center and more.
Badges seen on police showed multiple departments had been dispatched. The Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council, or METROLEC, was called in.
The organization describes itself as “a consortium of more than 46 local police and sheriff departments in the south metropolitan Boston area which covers 600 square miles and has a corresponding residential population of 850,000 people.”
This is a developing story.
