Throwback Thursday: Turkey & TV football tradition
There are many, many football fans who can identify with this gentleman enjoying a Thanksgiving snack in front of the TV. When this Nov. 22, 1962 photo was taken, sports announcer and founder of the American Football League team the New York Titans Harry Wismer was enjoying a nosh in his New York hotel room, while watching the Titans edge the Denver Broncos, 46-45 on TV. The Titans became the New York Jets. (AP Photo/Marty Lederhandler, File)
