Crossover hip-hop/country stars Post Malone and Jelly Roll to play U.S. Bank Stadium in May

Hip-hop/pop/country crossover star Post Malone will play his biggest local concert to date when he headlines U.S. Bank Stadium on May 20. And he’s got a very special guest in fellow genre-fluid artist Jelly Roll.

Tickets go on sale at noon Nov. 26 through Ticketmaster. Fans can register for a presale at signup.ticketmaster.com/postmalone. Citi cardholders also have access to a presale that starts at noon Wednesday.

The man born Austin Richard Post first turned heads with his 2015 debut single “White Iverson,” which he posted to SoundCloud that February. It earned more than a million plays in its first month, leading to a deal with Republic Records. Malone’s 2016 album “Stoney” spawned several more multi-platinum hits, including “Too Young,” “Go Flex” and “Congratulations.”

From there, Malone went on to release a series of singles that were RIAA-certified diamond for sales and streams of at least 10 million units, including “Rockstar,” “I Fall Apart,” “Psycho,” “Better Now,” “Wow” and “Circles.” In February, his “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” soundtrack contribution “Sunflower” became the first-ever single to be certified double diamond.

On his fifth album “Austin,” Malone took a turn toward synth-pop and rock and played guitar on every track. In March, he was the featured artist on Beyonce’s country song “Levii’s Jeans” and, five months later, he released his own country album, “F-1 Trillion.” It entered the charts at No. 1 and features collaborations with Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, Dolly Parton and Chris Stapleton, among others.

Jason Bradley DeFord began his career as Jelly Roll in 2003 as a rapper who sold mixtapes out of his car. After finding some success on the independent scene, he signed a deal with Nashville’s BBR Music Group and earned airplay on rock and country charts with his 2022 single “Son of a Sinner.”

In the time since, Jelly Roll has continued to dominate multiple Billboard charts with “Need a Favor,” “Save Me,” “Wild Ones,” “Halfway to Hell” and “I Am Not Okay.”
