Patriots won’t see three potential starters return off reserve lists this week
FOXBORO — The Patriots must continue waiting for offensive linemen Caedan Wallace and Cole Strange and defensive linemen Christian Barmore to return to practice.
Head coach Jerod Mayo said Wallace, Strange and Barmore will not be designated to return on Wednesday.

Strange began training camp on the physically unable to perform list after suffering a season-ending knee injury last December. Wallace suffered an ankle injury Week 4 against the 49ers and has recently been spotted walking around without the use of an assistive scooter. Barmore was diagnosed with blood clots early in training camp and began the season on the non-football illness list.
The Patriots could use all three players. The Patriots have talked about Strange potentially moving to center, which is a need, but the team has also seen recent struggles at his natural position of guard, as well. The Patriots have also experimented with different combinations at right tackle, so Wallace also could come in as a potential starter. The Patriots have struggled up front at stopping the run and rushing the passer, and Barmore was one of their best defenders last season.
